Some Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the new building designed that way?
The current structure is actually only the first floor of the future parish hall. When we finish the building in the future, it will look like this:

Why did we build only the first floor?
Our parish was in immediate and dire need of more space and updated furnishings to allow proper liturgical celebrations (like pews with kneelers). Financially, however, we could only afford to build the first floor of the parish hall at this time. Even so, we now have the space we need to grow, new furnishings, updated sound and lighting systems and so much more. Best of all, it's all paid for!

How long are we going to be in this building?
It really all depends on God's will for our parish community and the willingness of the people to continue building our Master Plan. As soon as we can gather enough financial support, we will build our new permanent church building which will look like this:

Stained Glass Windows

Expulsion from the Garden of Eden

 The Transfiguration of Jesus

The Resurrection

The Coronation of Mary

About the Stained Glass Windows

There are four windows that very briefly tell the History of Our Salvation (from left to right).

Window 1: Expulsion from Eden - shows the fall of humanity and recalls God's promise to send a savior.

Window 2: The Transfiguration of Jesus - shows Jesus as the pinnacle, the culmination of the revelation of God throughout the centuries through scriptures and the prophets, as represented by Moses and Elijah. Jesus bridges the  Old and New Testaments and is revealed as the promised savior.

(In between the 2nd and 3rd windows are the Crucifix and Altar recalling the suffering and death of Jesus in order to save humanity.)

Window 3: The Resurrection/Ascension of Christ - shows how Jesus conquered sin and death through his sacrifice on the cross. He ascends to heaven in glory and opens the gates of heaven for all people of good will.

Window 4: The Coronation of Mary - shows how Mary was assumed into heaven and crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth. Mary is representative of all the faithful. What happened to her will happen to those who are faithful to God.
